The Highland West Community Garden to Start Up Real Soon!!

Keep your eyes open for the announcement of our first community garden meeting for all those interested in gardening with us during the 2015 season.  The garden was expanded in 2013, so we have plenty of plots for families to grow fresh food in.  Our garden is based on the model of "family" or "household" plots where they can raise their own food to put on the table.  There also are a few "community plots" that everyone helps take care in which the produce is shared.  There are no…

Thanks to everyone who participated in this years "Highland West: Holiday Lights 2014"!

Over 400 displays were seen and each were special in their own way.  This is probably the largest amount of participation since we started the contest back in December 2009.  The JUDGING is still taking place because so many streets had to be traveled, so many pictures taken and assembled.  We should have a winner by the end of this month, so please be patient!!  In the meantime, our photo section has some of the pictures scrolling in a slide show for you to look at and enjoy.  The slide…
