Last week the Columbus City Council voted for the Hilltop Christian Development Corporation to provide maintenance services for 36 vacant lots acquired under the Neighborhood Stabilization and Land Reutilization Programs. These are all in the Highland West service area. We're looking for Highland West residents that would like to cut the grass, pick up trash, and take care of one, two, or more of these lots and get paid for it!

The Columbus City Council Zoning Committee will be meeting on Monday February 27 at 6:30 to vote on the Wheatland Crossing project. The meeting will be in city council chambers at city hall.

Here's the amended proposal that was passed (5-0) by the City of Columbus Development Commission on February 9th. This proposal was on the agenda for the DC regular meeting and I'm certain that's why it was pushed through without any further review from the GHAC on February 7.

The Greater Hilltop Area Commision Zoning Committee met at Homes on the Hill last night to vote on the zoning change request from The WODA Group. This is for their three phase project on the 20 acre city owned lot on N Wheatland Ave.
The biggest concern is The WODA Group wants the entire 20 acre plot rezoned to PUD-8. The WODA Group generally has a good reputation, but if funding falls through for phase 2 and 3, once the entire plot has been rezoned, we would lose any leverage we…
